


About Mamie
Mamie Bush Johnson is a native Texan and lifetime resident of Tarrant County. The daughter of two God-honoring, hard-working parents, Johnson was instilled at an early age with a passion for service, a heart for the Lord, and a dedication to truth and justice.

Johnson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she served as Student Body President, before going on to receive her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.
​
She is an accomplished attorney with over 35 years of experience and the former judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court #5, Johnson is highly respected in the field of criminal law. As a criminal law specialist, Johnson has tried more than 100 jury trials, ranging from misdemeanors to felony murders. Early in her career, she served as a prosecutor and then a judge in the Fort Worth Municipal Courts.

Johnson is a proud, outspoken conservative who relates from personal experience about how the Democrat party has abandoned Christians and Black American families.
She is an active member of many local Republican Clubs and currently serves as the President of Fort Worth Republican Women, the largest Republican women’s club in Tarrant County. In recognition of her dedicated service to Republican candidates and conservative causes, Fort Worth Republican Women honored her in 2020 as its Volunteer of the Year.

Johnson also serves in a number of other leadership roles within a host of Tarrant County Republican Clubs. She is an ordained minister,​a proud mother of two adult children and one grandson.
